MICROAGE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER WILLIAM KEIPER JOINS
ARTISOFT

     (TUCSON, AZ -- January 25, 1993) -- Artisoft, Inc.,  announced
today that William C. Keiper, President and Chief Operating Officer
of MicroAge, Inc., has joined Artisoft as its President and Chief
Operating Officer.  Keiper will also serve as a member of
Artisoft's Board of Directors.

      Keiper served as President and Chief Operating Officer of
MicroAge from 1988 until today.  During his tenure with MicroAge,
the company grew from $140 million to over $1 billion in annual
revenues, and from 150 to 1,500 locations worldwide.  From 1986 to
1988, Keiper acted as Group Vice President of MicroAge's
Franchising Division.  He resigned from MicroAge effective January
25, 1993 to assume his role as Artisoft's President and Chief
Operating Officer.

company makes him the ideal candidate to manage the many issues

CEO.  Keiper will assume the position of President formerly
occupied by Schoof.  Schoof will continue to serve as Artisoft's
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
